Q. How far in advance should I schedule my vehicle pickup?
A. The more notice we have the better. Trucks are picking up and delivering vehicles all over the country. With advance notice, we can better schedule your vehicles pickup. We do not guarantee any particular day for pickup or delivery, time or specific locations. Most transport trucks are accomodation 8 to 10 cars and are contionually dropping or adding in a route. Transport drivers are dealing with road conditions, weather, mechanical function, DOT regualation and traffic conditions.
Q. How long will it take to pickup and deliver my vehicle?
A. A coast to coast trip usually takes from 10 to 14 days. Shorter trips can take from 3 to 10 days, depending on the distance. Traffic, weather, and truck breakdowns are other factors that can delay a trip.
Q. Can I ship personal items in my vehicle?
A. We prefer you not place any personal items in your vehicle. We are not responsible for your personal items or the damage they cause to your vehicle. We require that no more than 100lbs of personal belongings can be placed in the vechicle. Items must be confined to the trunk. If the items weight is more than 50lbs and not confined to the trunk, the driver will charge at his/her discretion.
Q. If I can not be reached at delivery time, what happens to my vehicle?
A. We will make every effort to contact you 12 to 24 hours in advance for delivery. If you are not available for delivery and our office has not received any new information, the car will be placed in a terminal and the shipper will be responsible for any additional fees.
Q. How can I make payment?
A. Payment can be made by cashiers check, cash, or any major credit card. We will add 4% to all credit cards paid in full to cover driver's accounting fee. Credit card payments should be made during business hours Monday - Friday. Our trucks are not able to handle credit card payments. If payment is not made two days before delivery, we will place your vehicle in a local storage lot until payment clears our bank. You will be responsible for any additional charged by your late payment.
Q. Will you pickup and deliver my vehicle door to door?
A. We will make every effort to give you door to door service. But, because of the size of the vehicles we use, 9 -10 car haulers, we may not be able to get to your door. Also, some towns and cities will not allow a truck this size to travel on their streets. If we can not get to your door, we ask that you help us by meeting our truck at a convenient location such as a parking lot close to your doorway.
Q. What if my vehicle does not run?
A. We will add additional charges to cover an inop vehicle in our quote if you inform us up front of the vehicle's condition. We will add $200 plus loading and unloading charges to your quote if we are not informed of the vehicle's true condition.
Q. If I cancel my order, will I receive a refund?
A. If we assign your vehicle for pick up and you cancel the order, you will owe $150. This will pay for fuel and the time our trucks use in heading to your location.
Q: Will my car be insured during the transport?
A. Transport insurance covers up to $100,000 or the Blue Book value of the vehicle with no deductible to the shipper. Transport insurance goes by the condition reports that the driver has at pickup and delivery. All damage must be notated on the inspecition sheet at delivery to have a valid claim.
Q: What does 'fully insured" mean?
A: Fully insured means up to $100,000 or the replacement value of the vehicle. Transport insurance covers any negligence due to the driver or truck. It will not cover "act of God" or outside elements. Transport insurance across the board for every carrier is the same. It covers any damage by negligence, and not areas where the driver or truck does not have control. Due to the increasing amount of Ebay purchases, we are asking that buyers contact their insurance company and have the car placed on their policy before shipping.
Q: Were will I find Terms and Condtions for transport insurance?
A: You will find insurance terms on our website under "Terms and Conditions". Also, on the back of the transport's inspection sheet you will find a copy of the terms and conditions for the transport truck.
